Our Take

Dingles Public House plays it straight: a British pub format executed with real care rather than theme-park nostalgia. The consistent praise is for execution that holds up night after night — good value, a kitchen that cooks food people actually want to eat twice, service that remembers your name on the second visit. That's not nothing in a neighborhood as crowded with concepts as the Fillmore.

The atmosphere does real work here. This reads as a room people return to because it feels like theirs, not because it's performing a version of a London pub for tourists. The one crack in an otherwise strong record is inconsistency — not every plate lands the same way twice, and a kitchen this well-regarded should have ironed that out by now.

Michelin selected Dingles for its guide in 2026, and it's turned up on at least one outside recognition list — confirmation of what regulars already knew, not the reason to go. The reason to go is a pub that does the fundamentals right more often than it misses. That's a genuinely good restaurant, not yet a great one.

The Spot
Dingles Public House runs as a neighborhood spot with a bar at its center and Sunday Roast service as a weekly anchor. The cooking leans into British pub staples done with care rather than reinvention.

Starters like the scotch egg and sausage roll have become signatures in their own right, and the beef wellington and Sunday roast are the dishes regulars point to first. Service has built a loyal local following, with diners consistently citing the hospitality and value alongside the food.
