Jayd Bun is a takeout operation in Peace Dale run by owners Joe and Annie, built around Chinese flavors passed down through generations of the Li family from Tianjin. It skips the Chinese-American staples — no fried rice, no crab rangoons — in favor of dishes closer to what you'd find in China itself.
Everything is handmade daily from ingredients picked up the same day, and dishes are made to order, so there's a wait built into the process. The pork buns and the Yo Po noodles, served with a soft egg on top, have become the two dishes regulars point to first.
