The Spot
Aurelia occupies the Agassiz Mansion, a three-story wooden house built in 1875 by Harvard professor Alexander Agassiz as a summer residence and informal marine biology field station. The restaurant takes its name from the moon jellyfish — Aurelia — that Agassiz studied in the waters just outside. The space previously operated as The Dining Room at Castle Hill, and Aurelia continues as the next chapter of that history.

The kitchen runs a six-course prix fixe menu that changes with the seasons, built on seafood from around Aquidneck Island, produce and greens grown in the Inn's own kitchen gardens and greenhouses, and cheeses from regional producers. Dining rooms look directly out over Narragansett Bay, with the property's forty acres as a constant backdrop.

The wine list runs deep, with more than 800 selections. A sommelier curates pairings for the tasting menu, including house-made non-alcoholic options.
