Bayside American Cafe has occupied its spot on the west side of Portland's Bayside neighborhood since 1990, when it was started by Roger Bintliff. Joe and Diane Catoggio have owned and operated it since 2003, keeping the same eclectic, casual atmosphere in a building whose decor and architecture carry pieces of Portland's history.
The menu runs breakfast, lunch, and specialty brunch items all day, every day, built on local produce and seafood, Coffee By Design coffee, and 100% Maine maple syrup, alongside locally made beer, wine, and spirits. When the weather cooperates, the deck and patio open up for outdoor dining.
