The Real Italian Deli functions as both a sandwich counter and a full Italian market, with fresh bread baked daily, imported and house-cured deli meats, fresh cheeses like mozzarella di Bufala and burrata, plus olive oils, vinegars, and fresh, dried, and frozen pastas lining the shelves. Founders John DeVita and Jose Naveja built the place around bringing Italian grocery and deli traditions to the desert.
Sandwiches are the draw, built to order or off a house menu, alongside Italian desserts like tiramisu and a case of imported grocery labels including Divella pasta and Di Stefano cheese. The deli also runs a catering menu for platters and trays.
There's a sister location in Palm Desert.
