The Spot
Lito's Burritos began as a pop-up inside Miguel Hernandez's family restaurant, El Tejaban, in 2023, built on traditional Mexican recipes crossed with the So Cal Chicano flavors of his home state. Community support carried it to a permanent spot at Lake and Bryant in 2025, where locals now call it Lito's on Lake.

The menu centers on the L.A. Burrito and birria tacos. Regulars describe real quality in the ingredients when the kitchen is dialed in, though the experience can vary — portion size, execution, and order accuracy have all drawn mixed word of mouth even from fans who keep coming back.

The recognition has followed anyway: Racket named it a best new restaurant of 2025 as Lito's on Lake, and Mpls St Paul Magazine included it on its 2026 best-of list.
