610 Magnolia occupies a historic house in Old Louisville, contemporary yet rustic inside with original wooden beams, mullioned windows, and French doors that open seasonally to an outdoor garden patio. Chef/Owner Edward Lee has run the kitchen since 2003.
The format is a tasting menu, with courses and pricing shifting week to week around seasonality and locally sourced ingredients, including produce from the restaurant's own greenhouse and responsibly farmed animals. The beverage program pairs wines and original cocktails with an extensive Kentucky bourbon list, changing alongside the menu.
Jeff Potter, who moved to Kentucky to work at 610 Magnolia with Lee, was promoted to executive chef in 2019 and now leads the kitchen and oversees the menu. Lee has been a multiple-time James Beard Foundation finalist and semifinalist for Best Chef, spanning 2008 through 2017.
