District Biskuits started as chef Guroux's tribute to his hometown's food culture. After training at Le Cordon Bleu in Atlanta, he returned to Kansas City to build a fast-casual breakfast and brunch spot centered on scratch-made biscuits.
The menu runs through hearty breakfast sandwiches and brunch plates built around those biscuits, served counter-style with indoor and outdoor seating at the original North Kansas City location on Armour Road. A second location on E 63rd Street has since opened. The biscuits — tall, flaky, and buttery — have built a following strong enough to draw lines out the door in the morning.
Kansas City Magazine has included District Biskuits on its Best of Kansas City list.
