Soby's has occupied 207 South Main Street in downtown Greenville for more than two decades, part of Table 301 Restaurant Group alongside The Nose Dive, Tavola, The Lazy Goat, and other city spots. The kitchen works in what it calls New South cuisine — classic regional dishes given a modern turn, built on locally-grown, seasonal ingredients, and served in a dining room that goes for casual elegance rather than formality.
The menu leans on dishes regulars keep ordering: shrimp and grits, pork tenderloin, fried green tomatoes, short ribs, pimento cheese, brussels sprouts, and a biscuit program, alongside a brunch service that's built its own following. Upstairs, The Loft at Soby's operates as a private event space with rooftop views over downtown.
Soby's carries a Michelin Guide selection in the inaugural American South guide and has been named to the Eater 38, with additional recognition from Greenville Journal's and TOWN Carolina's city magazine lists.
