The Spot
Pomegranate on Main has been serving Persian cuisine near Falls Park on the Reedy since November 2007. Owner Ali Saifi opened the restaurant to bring the food of his native Iran to the Greenville community, where he had already lived for more than 40 years. The space runs as a bistro-style dining room with a patio open year-round.

The kitchen prepares Persian recipes daily, including a Fesenjan stew built on pomegranate and walnut, and basmati rice layered with lentils and raisins. The Beef Tenderloin Torsh Kabob, marinated in a sweet-and-sour pomegranate walnut sauce and grilled over open flame, is a dish rooted in Northern Iran and the restaurant's most-ordered kabob. Roasted salmon comes with a Persian onion-and-saffron marinade. All entrees are gluten-free, with vegetarian options throughout.

The restaurant also serves the Upstate's first pomegranate martini, a mix of vodka, Pama liqueur, and pomegranate juice served with a frozen grape.

TOWN Carolina named Pomegranate on Main a city magazine favorite for 2026.
