Ayat was created by Abdul Elenani in honor of his wife Ayat, a Palestinian lawyer, and operates as an all-halal Middle Eastern bistro in Dallas with dine-in, takeout, delivery, and catering.
The menu runs through the region's staples: baba ghanoush and hummus as cold starters, labneh topped with olive oil, and muhammarah made from roasted red peppers, walnuts, and pomegranate molasses. Shawarma is offered wrapped and ready to go, while tabbouleh brings the standard mix of parsley, bulgur, tomato, and lemon. For larger appetites, the kitchen prepares feast dishes like mansaf and maklouba.
