Ray Ray's Hog Pit sets up as a food truck in the parking lot of Land-Grant Brewing in Franklinton, serving the brewery's crowd via walk-up and online ordering. It's one of four Hog Pit locations around Columbus, alongside Clintonville, Westerville, and Granville.
The smoked lineup covers St. Louis-cut and baby back ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and a Carolina chop pork finished with vinegar-based sauce and slaw. Jerk chicken thighs come topped with pickled red cabbage and onion, and Ray Ray's hot link is a locally sourced, handmade smoked sausage loaded with green chiles and American cheese. A smoked cauliflower burnt ends dish offers a vegetarian option. The Meatsweats box bundles brisket, pulled pork, jerk chicken, ribs, and hot link with pickles and sauce. Sides run from pit-baked beans and mac and cheese to collard greens and waffle fries, backed by a rotating lineup of house sauces from sweet BBQ to habanero and Carolina vinegar.
Ray Ray's Hog Pit was named a James Beard Foundation Best Chef semifinalist in 2020 and was included on Columbus Monthly's best-of list for 2025. The Franklinton truck has also been covered by The Infatuation as part of its Columbus barbecue coverage.
