Zamindar's Clubhouse takes its name from the Zamindar era of India, when landed aristocracy hosted elaborate gatherings and hospitality was treated as an art form. The restaurant, in Charlotte's Sedgefield neighborhood, builds on that idea, pairing refined Indian cuisine with curated music and interiors meant to evoke old-world luxury and celebration.
The kitchen is led by chefs Vamshi Krishna Adi and David, with dishes like Ajwaini Tiger Shrimps in fermented chili and Schezwan sour cream, Old Delhi Butter Chicken made with tandoori chicken thighs and chili rogan oil, and a Nalli Gosht Mandi lamb shank finished with fried cashews and bhurani raita. Desserts reinterpret Indian classics, including a Kalakand Chocolate Tart, a Gulab Jamun Crème Brûlée, and an Angoor Rabdi Jalebi served with saffron pistachio ice cream.
The cocktail program follows the same colonial-club framing, with drinks like the Bombay Presidency and the Decan Durbar built around Indian spices and spirits. The property includes a main dining room and a patio, along with a private dining room for smaller gatherings.
