The Alabama Biscuit Co. is built around one thing: the biscuit, made with house-milled spelt flour, sprouted and stone-milled ancient grains, and organic, pasture-based fats. Founder Jonathan started the project as a way to feed his own family well before turning it into a full-fledged biscuit company.
The space at 4133 White Oak Drive carries that same handmade ethos — tables built from a storm-damaged black walnut tree out of Cullman, a center table cut from Alabama white marble sourced in Sylacauga, and up-cycled Western cedar worked into the build-out. Local art fills the walls alongside those materials.
Beyond the biscuits themselves, the shop sells local honey, locally roasted coffee, house-milled almond and pecan butter, and its own biscuit mix to take home. Homemade jams and seasonal, creative toppings round out a menu built on scratch cooking and honest ingredients.
