Texas Coffee Traders has been roasting coffee in Austin since 1994, working out of its Govalle roastery and warehouse on Wilcab Road. The cafe attached to that operation serves the beans roasted on-site, poured by staff who work in coffee daily rather than as a side gig.
The menu runs on fresh pastries alongside the coffee program, and the space has built a reputation as a neighborhood fixture for people who care about where their beans come from. As one of the city's longer-running independent roasters, it predates much of Austin's current coffee scene.
