Funky Sol Coffee operates out of a fully renovated 1970s Airstream trailer on S. Lamar Blvd in Zilker. Owner Gavin bought the trailer in August 2022 and took on the renovation himself before launching the coffee shop, building the whole operation around a 70s theme aesthetic that carries through the trailer's look and the shop's merch line.
The menu runs on ethically sourced, locally roasted beans and organic syrups, with matcha drinks alongside the coffee lineup. Regulars point to the staff and Gavin himself as a draw — knowledgeable, friendly, and central to the shop's neighborhood-gem reputation.
