The Spot
Farmand's Kitchen & Bar sits in the Steiner Ranch area of Austin, named after founder Tony Farmand, a veteran of more than 40 fast-casual restaurants. He built the concept with restaurant developer Carlos Griego and Executive Chef Matthew Price, a Culinary Institute of America graduate with two decades of fine dining experience.

The menu is made-to-order, drawing on Persian roots alongside flavors from other cuisines, with seasonal rotating specials keeping the lineup in motion. The space is built with families in mind — a full bar for the adults, a playground and outdoor patio so kids have somewhere to go.

Regulars point to fresh, consistent cooking and attentive service as the draw, along with the kind of neighborhood, family-friendly feel that's earned it a hidden-gem reputation around Steiner Ranch.
