Fontaine's Oyster House takes its name from Fontaine Weyman, a WWII veteran and uncle of owner Sam Weyman who was known for chatting up locals and regulars around the restaurant. The room reflects that neighborhood feel: a bar up front, cozy booths, an oyster bar stocked with fresh shellfish, and a covered patio for seating beneath the stars.
Oysters on the half shell are the draw, though the lobster bisque has built its own following among regulars. Service moves quickly, and the patio in particular keeps people coming back for the atmosphere as much as the food.
