Daily Chew is a café and catering operation in Morningside, serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch alongside coffee, cocktails, and natural wines. Chef Julia built the menu around her South African-Jewish heritage, drawing on recipes she grew up cooking with her grandmother and father — her grandmother, Annette Kesler, spent decades as a food writer and editor in Cape Town and remains her primary influence.
The brekkie menu runs from a Boerewors sausage pita to Turkish eggs with garlic labneh and Aleppo chili oil, a latke stack topped with smoked salmon belly, and lemon ricotta hotcakes. Lunch leans into salads and grain bowls built on Georgia produce, including a spring salad sourced from Tucker Farms. The kitchen works directly with farmers and artisans across the state rather than sourcing generically.
Beyond the café, Daily Chew operates as a catering and events company, extending the same seasonal, Georgia-focused approach to private gatherings. It's a bootstrapped, women-owned business, grown out of Julia's earlier venture Stop Think Chew.
